An Online Ordering System for Your Restaurant, on Your Own Website
Every order that comes through an aggregator app costs you a cut. And the customer who ordered belongs to the app, not to you.
You cannot call them. You cannot tell them about a new dish. Next week the app may show them your competitor first.
An online ordering system for your restaurant fixes that. Customers open your website, pick their food, pay, and follow the order. The orders and the customer details land with you.
ExioCraftz builds that system: a custom ordering website with order management and live tracking, made by the two founders, Krish Grover and Aagam Jain. No template. No per-order commission to us.

Why own it
Why restaurants build their own ordering system
Aggregators bring discovery, and that is useful. The cost is the commission. Inc42 reported in August 2025 that Zomato and Swiggy “take a 25-35% commission per order from the restaurants” (Inc42, 16 Aug 2025). Restaurant bodies have described the all-in cost, with ads and other charges, as higher still. Your own numbers will differ, so check your own statements.
An ordering website does not replace discovery. It gives your regulars, your walk-ins and your Instagram followers a place to order from you directly. Many restaurants keep the aggregator for new customers and move repeat orders to their own site.
What you get by owning the channel:
- No commission per order to us. You pay the payment gateway’s fee (every online payment has one) and your own delivery costs, and that is all.
- Your customer list. Names, numbers and order history are in your system.
- Your menu, your look. Your photos, your branding, your prices and offers, with no ranking against ten competitors on the same screen.
- Your rules. Delivery area, minimum order, opening hours, items sold out. You change them when you want.
What you get
What the system includes
This is the Business package: a website plus a delivery system, order management and an admin panel. The scope is agreed with you in writing before we start.
A customer-facing ordering website
- A live menu with categories, sizes and extras (for example a large pizza with extra cheese).
- Quick view of an item, a cart, and checkout that works on a phone first.
- Your own domain and your brand, fast on mobile networks.
Order management for your kitchen and counter
- Every new order arrives in one place, with its status (received, preparing, out for delivery, delivered).
- An admin panel where you edit the menu, prices, photos and availability without calling a developer.
Live order tracking
Customers see where their order is, from the kitchen to their doorstep. It cuts down the “where is my food?” calls your staff answer every evening.
Optional: dispatch and analytics
If you run your own delivery, the system can include dispatch. The Pro package adds analytics and a business dashboard, so you can see what sells and when.
Proof
See it working: the Ember & Plate demo
Do not take our word for it. Open Ember & Plate, a restaurant ordering site we built as a demo. It is not a client’s restaurant. It shows what yours could be: a live menu with sizes and extras, quick view, and order tracking from kitchen to doorstep.
Try the order flow on your phone, the way your customers would.
We also build for real businesses. Our client Raj Steels has a mobile-first site we built with a catalogue, quote requests, click-to-call and WhatsApp. It is a different industry, but it shows how we build and ship. Read the Raj Steels case study or see our work.
Process
How we build it
- Talk. You tell us about your menu, your delivery area and how orders work today. WhatsApp or a call is fine.
- Quote. We send a written quote with scope, cost and timeline. Nothing starts until you agree.
- Design. You see how the menu and checkout will look before we build it.
- Build and test. We build it, then you test real orders with your team.
- Launch and support. We stay on after launch to support, fix and improve it.
What affects the timeline: how big your menu is, whether you need delivery dispatch, which payment methods you want, and how quickly you send photos and menu details. We give you a timeline in the quote.
Fit
Is this right for you?
It fits if you already get orders by phone, WhatsApp or aggregators and want a direct channel you control. It fits cafes, restaurants, cloud kitchens and bakeries.
Be honest with yourself about two things. First, a new ordering site needs customers sent to it: your Instagram, Google listing, packaging and regulars. Second, you still handle the kitchen and delivery. The software organises orders. It does not cook or ride.
If you also run a clinic or salon, we build a digital queue system for clinics and salons too. Ordering often goes with a custom business website, an online booking system for tables or appointments, or custom software such as dashboards. See all our services.
Questions
FAQ
How much does an online ordering system for a restaurant cost?
It depends on your menu, the features and whether you need delivery dispatch. We do not publish fixed prices. We send a written quote with scope, cost and timeline after a short conversation, so you know the full amount before work starts.
Do you charge commission on each order?
No. We do not take a cut per order. Payment gateways charge their own fee on online payments, and you cover your own delivery costs.
How much do Zomato and Swiggy charge?
Rates vary by restaurant and plan. Inc42 reported in August 2025 that Zomato and Swiggy take a 25-35% commission per order from restaurants (source). Check your own settlement statements for your real figure.
Do I need an app, or is a website enough?
For most restaurants an ordering website that works well on a phone is enough to start. We also build mobile apps if you need one. We will tell you honestly which fits.
Can customers track their order?
Yes. The system includes live order tracking from kitchen to doorstep. You can see it in the Ember & Plate demo.
Can I change the menu and prices myself?
Yes. The admin panel lets you edit items, prices, photos and availability.
Will you help after launch?
Yes. We stay on after launch to support, maintain and improve the system.
